Watch your local TV stations for school delays and closings. Oakwood Christian School
will now be listed individually. Our school never runs on a delay due to all the different school
districts we have attending here.

Student Drop off Policy
No upper level parking.
Parent walk up drop-off ... 8:00 AM - 8:15 AM.
Parent driving drop-off ... 8:10 AM - 8:20 AM.
Parent walk up pick-up ... 3:00 PM.
Parent driving pick-up ... 3:10 PM or later.
Safety,Safety, Safety ... Your child's safety is important to us.
Please park in the lower parking lot and walk up if you need to walk your child to class.
Otherwise, stay in line for drop off at the crosswalk.

Physicals are due for all new students and returning students in K4, K, 2nd, 4th, 7th and 10th Grades.
We must have all required physicals by September 30.
The PTF is participating in the Tyson Project A+ program.

Attention Parents
Please note, if your child comes in after the 8:20 AM bell they are late.
For Elementary students ... parents must sign them in at the office.

American Clothing Recycling

American Clothing Recycling provides a collection box in our parking lot in which donations
can be placed. The donations are then sent to a third world country where they help meet the
needs of their citizens.
|
 
|
|
 
|
Acceptable items include the following:
|
 
|
- All Men's, Women's, and Children's clothing
- Handbags
- Belts
- Shoes and Sneakers
- Bedding ... Sheets, Blankets, Bedspreads
- Draperies and Curtains
- Towels
- Hats
- Scarfs
- Stuffed Animals
|
For ease of handling, all items should be left in tied plastic bags, paper bags, or boxes.

Paper Recycling Program

GreenFiber provides a collection box in our parking lot in which donations can be placed.
This will help OCS earn money and reduce waste removal costs while helping to conserve our
natural resources. GreenFiber makes environmentally friendly, safe, and efficient insulation
from the paper products that you recycle.
|

Attention Parents
Please call the office in the morning if your child is out sick.
If we don't hear from you by 9:00 AM, a follow up call will be made.
It helps us track attendance.
We still need a written excuse the next day.
All students ... please label all uniform clothes with your name in permanent marker.

We are currently collecting cell phones to recycle.
There is a collection box located near the school office.
Ink Cartridge Recycling Program
We are currently collecting used ink cartridges to recycle.
Bring in your used cartridges from any inkjet or laser printer.
There is a collection box located near the school office.
Lions Club collection box is located near the office.
Used eyeglasses, sunglasses, and hearing aids are needed.
All donations will be sent to needy countries around the world.
