Oakwood Bible Church

Junior/Senior High (Grades 7-12) - 2011-2012 School Year

We are using an all Christian curriculum as follows:

  • A Beka Book.
  • other Christian books at the discretion of the Administration.

As students enter the Junior/Senior High Division, parents, teachers, and staff all need an increased
awareness and interest in the school maintaining a distinctive Christian culture. The fruit of young
lives is beginning to emerge and identify itself. We need, therefore, safeguards to insure (the best we
can), that Oakwood Christian School be a place where academic excellence can be pursued in the
peaceful environs of a Christian context. Failure to provide these safeguards could result in an atmosphere
counter-productive to our stated goals, and your desires for Oakwood Christian School. We therefore
hope that all of you, for our mutual benefit, would embrace the following:

The following two requirements are additional and necessary for acceptance to the Senior High Division,
        Grades 9 through 12:

  • Each student must have at least one parent/guardian who is a professing Christian and is a member in good standing of a Bible believing Church. In the absence of such a parent/guardian, the prospective student himself must make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Following the interview with the parent/guardian and each prospective student, there must be a signed student acceptance of behavioral and academic responsibility.
